I hope you enjoy these images. I've always been interested in what constitutes food, which varies greatly culturally and has also morphed throughout the ages. Food at its very essence is anything a person believes they can eat. That line of thinking broadened for me, however, when I decided to photograph food. I began to extrapolate and inject other ideas and combinations onto the plate. I sought colour, abstraction, humour, absurdity.
